This is Pravat Behera, a 38-year-old gentleman, a driver by profession, and a person known for his kindness, humility, and quiet nature. He has always been someone ready to extend a helping hand to others whenever needed.
Unfortunately, life has dealt him a difficult hand.
Pravat lost his father to stomach cancer one year ago. Just after completing his father's first-year death rituals, within barely a month, his own world was upended when he was diagnosed with rectal cancer.
He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which will be followed by radiotherapy and surgery. The outcome and the road ahead remain uncertain at this stage.
Pravat is the sole breadwinner of his family. Because of his illness, he is currently unable to work and support his family as he normally would. His son is studying in Class VII in an English-medium school, and the family is now facing significant financial hardship.
Adding to this burden, Pravat had purchased a flat through his hard-earned savings and is still repaying the monthly EMI. With his income disrupted and the cost of cancer treatment being extremely high, managing medical expenses, household needs, his son's education, and the home loan has become nearly impossible for the family to bear alone.
